Story
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal tells the story of 11 of the anime’s with more to come. This game tells the story through screenshots from the anime with some characters having voice over. There are times where you will watch parts of the anime in 1-to-5-minute clips.
You will also have to take part in the battles throughout the story. In these battles units from the series you are playing in will have a boost in power.
After you finish the story of a series there will be hard battles for you to challenge. What’s really cool about these hard battles is there is a secret fight in them. You will need to meet a condition. If you win this secret fight you will get a unit as a reward.
I really like the way this game tells the story of the Gundam anime’s. I will give the story of SD Gundam G Generation Eternal a 10 out of 10.

Combat
The combat of SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is tactics style combat. You will take turns controlling all your units before it’s your opponent’s turn.
During your turn you can move and use your units. Each unit has energy and you can attack with them multiple times as long as you have the energy.
When you attack with a unit you will get a nicely animated cutscene. As well as you get to see the attack on the battlefield.
A really cool feature is you can transform some units and get to move further and have different attacks.
Speaking of movement each stage will and a type of terrain like space mountain or even underwater. Your units will have terrain they are good on and some they are bad on. If they are bad on it, their movement will be cut in half. There are times when the unit cannot go on certain terrain. In that case, you cannot take them into battle on that stage.
Your unit will gain tension the more you use it. The higher the units tension is the stronger it is. If you take damage you will lose tension so positioning is key.
Speaking of positioning the enemy can counter attack. You can see if you are in there range as you move your unit. Stay out of counter attack range and raising your tension is key to victory.
There is even more you can do with positioning you can set up team up attacks. It’s not just attacks that your team can help you with if lined up right. They also can take an attack for you if the unit is capable.
Each unit has a pilot. The pilot has their own stats and skills. These add to the unit. The pilot’s expertise affects whether they are good at range or melee attacks. This is important because enemies will be weaker to certain attacks. Weapons will also be a type like beam or bullets.
Understanding your units strength as well as your opponents weakness will allow you to deal them the most damage possible.
Over all the combat is not complicated. The controls are easy. The attacks look great. Also it’s great seeing lots of units on the battlefield. I will give the combat a solid 10 out of 10.

Development
This is by far my favorite feature this game has to offer. In development you get to create units from all the series in the game.
You do this by sacrificing weaker units to build the stronger ones. Some will only require one unit but the final unit you can build will take multiple units.
Building units will cost capital and sometimes other material you can get from the stages in the story.
You get to see tons of units in this mode. They range from lesser-known ones you may never have heard of to stars of the show. They are shown in great detail as well.
Development is a solid feature of this game it’s an easy 10 out of 10.
![The image displays a development diagram titled "Dev. Diagram" for a Gundam game, showing the upgrade paths for "Mobile Suit Gundam [Earth Federation]" which is 90% complete, and "Mobile Suit Gundam [Zeon]," which is 19% complete. The diagram uses connected nodes depicting silhouettes of various Gundam mobile suits, indicating upgrade stages. Resource requirements (SR, R, N) are displayed alongside each node. The path to "Mobile Suit Gundam [Ultimate]" is also presented, and 3 different resource counts are labeled and displayed as options for upgrades. Progress bars at the top right displaying resource totals needed show increments of 25%.](https://apexreaper.blog/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/dev-2.png?w=1200)

Gundam/Units & Pilots & Supports
There are plenty of Gundam or units in this game. The units in this game come in different rarity. From N all the way to UR. Each of them can be enhanced in a few different ways.
You can level them up by taking them into battle or by using an EXP item on them. Depending on the rarity they will have a different level cap. With N having a level cap of 60 and UR having a level 100 cap. You can also limit break them up to 3 stars. This gives the unit a boost to all stats 1 star giving 20% and 3 stars giving 40% boost. UR’s also get a home screen animation at 3 stars.
The unit’s weapons can also be upgraded. This takes weapon upgrade material. The max level each weapon can be upgraded to is 5. The units will have a different number of weapons. With some have only 2 and some have 5 weapons for you to upgrade.
You also equip a modification as well. These can give your unit a veriaty of boost including. Increase max energy, increase mobility or increase max HP. You only can have one equipped at a time.
As touched on before units will be good on certain terrain and bad on others. As well as different types of weapons. You will want to pair your unit with a pilot that works well with the unit.
Units also come in the same rarities as the units. With the same level caps. You cannot upgrade pilot’s skills or abilities. Some skill and abilities unlock at certain levels.
The pilot’s stats will let you know if they are good at ranged or melee weapons.
You also get to take a supporter with you in each squad. Supporters have skills you can use in battle. They also have leader skills that will increase stats of units form a certain series.
There is so many units, Pilots and supporters for you to mess around with and more to come. It makes this game that much more enjoyable. I will give this category a 10 out of 10.

Graphics
As you have seen in the screen shots throughout this review. The graphics in this game are great it fits the anime feels so well. The units have amazing detail. Seeing the art style evolve over the series is great.
The battlefields look amazing from the space ones with debris to the ones on ground. I have no complaints at all on how the battle fields look. Its also great seeing loads of units on the battlefield in battle.
The attack animations are beautifully done. Both the cut scenes and on the battlefield animations.
This is an easy 10 out of 10.
Events & Endgame
The events are well done. They have their own story from a movie of special. The events also have hard stages for you to clear. Just like in the story, if you use units from the series, the event takes place in, they will get a boost.
The best part of events is they have their own Development for you to make even more units. The events also have boss battles for you to clear. Each has increasing difficulty. There is a secret boss for you to fight as well.
As for the endgame content this is what this game lacks. There is Master League there PVP where you climb the ranks and get better rewards the higher you climb. This is only open during their seasons not all the time. Then there is Eternal Road here you take on harder fights with limitations on your formation. That’s all there is for endgame content, and it feels small for a gacha game. With that being said the game has not been out for even a year yet. I’m sure they have plans for more content.
I do have to give a mention to the upgrade stages where you get the material needed to get stronger.
Even thou the events are great the endgame content is not. I have to give it a 7 out of 10.
Should You Play?
Yes this game is fun even for people who are not gundam fans. I do belive you can enjoy this game no matter how big of a fan you are of Gundam. Its a fun gacha game with great graphics. If your a big fan of Gundam you will love this game. Getting to play through the series from the first series is great.
Then there is the ads and… There are no ads in this game.
The final score for SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is 9.5 out of 10. This game will easily be a 10 out of 10 once there is more to do in the endgame.
