In Idle Fish 2, you are the captain of your boat. You must catch fish in order to get an even better boat. This will allow you to catch bigger fish. Let’s take a look at what the game has to offer and see if it worth playing.

I did see that this game also available on steam that version seems a little different than this one. The steam one you can get chest that contain items you can sell on the steam market. I did not play this version of the game so I will not be talking about it in my review.
This game is also very similar to two other games I have reviewed Ghost Invasion and Octopus Feast. You can check out their reviews by clicking their names. You can also check out other Mobile games here.
Let’s take a look at the game
In Idle Fish 2 you control a boat and catch fish. Each fish gives experience, money and has a resource attached to it. As you collect resources you can level up your boat. Some fish are harder to catch than others.
As you catch fish you will fill up your cargo. When your cargo is filled you will need to return to base to unload you cargo and collect the resources. You can upgrade your cargo is it can hold more.
You can level up you boats power, speed, health or even how many rods your boat has and more. These levels will cost money and sometimes a resource along with money.
As you gain enough experience you level up and unlock new areas. These new areas have new fish to catch. As well as new buildings to make use of. There will be new missions for you to complete as well.
Some of the buildings you can use are farms these gather resources for you over time. You also can use the black market to power up your boat. When you unlock all the available upgrades your boat will change appearance and get stronger. There are also exchange buildings you can use to help get the resource you need.
You can also get little boat buddies to help you out. You can get one that fishes for you. You can also get one that comes and gets cargo from you. It brings the cargo back to base.
Your main mission is to gather gold coins. Some missions will give you a coin. You will also need to gather parts for the submarine. You must complete a series of missions to get the part for the submarine. These missions end in a boss fight.
Once you collect the gold coins you gain access to the next area. A place called cool overboard and is very cold. So cold that the longer you stay the weaker you become. You will need to return to the first area or build a base to unload your boat. The base cost premium currency that you can get for free slowly. This cold area has an ice market. You can get upgrades for your boat there. These upgrades help you in the cold.
Guilds was the hardest part of the game for me to get working. For most of my time playing this game it just would not work. But it did finally start working and it’s cool. You join or create a guild, and you get to work with your guild to catch a real big fish. You get 3 attempts each day to do as much damage you can to the boss.
Your guild boat is different than your boat in the main game. As you attempt to take down the boss you will get money to use upgrading your guild boat.
There are also daily and weekly quest to complete to get currency that you can use in the guild shop. At the shop you can get upgrades for your boat. These upgrades include bonus Exp or attack, speed, health or cargo.
Should You Play?
YES this was the best one of these type of games I have played. It might just be that you are a boat catching fish and I like fishing in real life. Either way, this game is fun. I do think the progression was faster in this one than in the others like this I have played.
Also, in this game I found it easier to avoid the enemy attacks making the fights more enjoyable.
Like most mobile games you can watch ads for rewards. I did watch a lot of ads in my time playing this game and I feel it was worth it. The amount of rewards you get felt good and increase as you progress in the game.
