This game is very akin to another game I reviewed Ghost Invasion.

Let’s take a look at the game

In Octopus Feast you start out as a one-armed Octopus. As you catch sea creatures and gather resources you can level up. You can level up your strength, health, speed and even how many tentacles you have.

As you explore this game, you will find quests to complete for submarine parts. Or get keys to unlock a big door. These quests are mostly go catch X amount of this creature. As you complete the submarine quest you will have to fight bosses. The bosses will attack you. You can sort of dodge them. It’s mostly about running away and prolonging the hit you will take.

Each creature you catch has 1 or more resources attached to them. You will need all of them as you level up the most important one being Blue Shells. You will use Blue Shells at the Black Market. Here you use the shells to make your octopus stronger as you finish all the available upgrades. Your octopus evolves and gets even stronger and changers appearance.

There are farms you can use and upgrade to make better. These farms will produce a resource for you. You can upgrade the storage or how fast they produce. There are some exchange places for you to get the needed resource faster.

Most of the creatures won’t attack you.  Most will swim around in their area.  While some will run away from you.  Some creatures will attack you. If you’re not careful, a school of fish will attack and defeat you quickly.

After completing the submarine and getting all the keys you will be able to move on to the next area.  The second area you get to is the deep sea.  The deep sea is boiling.  The hotter your octopus gets the more stats you lose.  You have two options to regain your stats. You can return to the first area, or you can find a cool spot in the deep sea.

Should you play?

Yea I would say this is worth playing.  I have a lot of fun with this style of game.  It’s great going from a weak one armed octopus to a menace of the ocean.  It’s always a big plus when mobile games don’t have some sort of stamina system.  Like this game it’s got no stamina you can play for as long as you like.

I will say if you want to progress faster you will end up watching a good amount of ads.  But I do feel the rewards are worth the ads especially the blue shells.
