Let’s take a look at the game

In MULLET MADJACK, you play as a retro human. You take part in a stream to win a new pair of shoes. You also need to save this woman and stop the evil plans of a robot. The catch is you have 10 seconds to live. You must kill Robillionaires (Robot Billionaires) in order to get more time.

This game is full of cheesy liners. The graphics are really well done as well and not hard to look at being retro and all. You can turn off the VHS effect in the options if you want, I did this.

The game has you climb this tower and every 10 floors you fight a boss in offline mode. This just means no time limit. After 10 floors you get a checkpoint unless you are playing on peradeath mode. Each floor goes by fast it takes about 30-50 seconds a floor. If you die or fail a floor before the checkpoint you will start back at the last checkpoint.

You have a kick that is also a dash and its so good. You get to kick enemies into electrical boxes and fans to kill them and get more time. You can also kick enemies through doors.

As for the weapons, you can get a pistol, SMG, Rifle, Shotgun, Plasma rifle, and Railgun. You can also choose from two different swords: an ice sword or a fire one. Each weapon is a lot better as you unlock higher weapon levels.

As you finish each floor you will choose a perk. This can be a new weapon or weapon upgrade. Or you can pick passive perks like a lollipop that gives you an extra second of life. There are also perks that give you more time for a certain type of kill. You can also make it, so your dude is silent or more talkative with perks.

After you beat a boss, you get to choose a permanent upgrade. These are stronger weapons, more choices for perks or the ability to keep a perk on death. Your perks also reset after each boss.

As you make it to a checkpoint you get a report card. This shows you how many robots you killed and even how many nutshots you got.

The end of the game is great it’s a fun boss fight as well as cool credits.

After you finish the game, you can enter endless mode. Alternatively, play through the game again on a certain difficulty to get new shoes.

A really cool feature of this game is you can unbox the game. It’s a great throwback to how games used to come packaged. You also get a virtual pet.

Should You Play?

YES this game is much fun. This game does not take long at all the playthrough my first playthrough took an hour and a half. The achievements are not that hard and should not take long to get them all. This game is a part of Game Pass as of writing this.

Overall, I loved how fast this game played. The graphics are great and fit this game so well. The characters are great and have some real funny moments. The flow of this game is great and really worth playing.
