In Blue Odyssey you are the caption of the Ark. You will make friends that will help you in battle or be your family. The ones that help you are called fellows they help you in battle or with making a building more productive. The quests in this game are not worth discussing. They just repeat and are not interesting. The main reason you will be playing this game for is well…
This is the reason you will play this game the girls. As I said there are family you can get in this game. The family ones you can give gifts you go on dates with. You also go on random hangouts. If you meet one of the girls enough times, they will become your family. You can also level up there skills that do help you.
As for the rest of the game you level up your building to make them make you more gold. As you level up and progress through the game your Ark will get bigger. You will also unlock more buildings. You will get a Kitchen you will have to manage it by building new cooking stations and learning new recipes. You will also get a Training center. One of your family will adopt a child. You will teach the child until they become an adult.
I would say for me the most fun part of this game is the Diving center. Here you get to dive under the water and open chest and catch fish. As you collect more fish the get added to the aquarium.
There is also the story or as they call it Adventure. This is not great. You click this button in the bottom right. Eventually, you will get a choice to make to get rewards. After enough presses you get to a fight or negotiation, they both play out the same. If your number is higher than the opponent, you win that’s it.
There are also some leaderboards. You can try to get to the top of them. There is a Deep Sea Challenge you can do. Here you just fight your way to the top of the building.
The gatcha system this game has is not great. You get bottlecaps you can then exchange them with a 0.1% chance at getting the resource needed to recruit more family or fellows. One upside is you get to choose what one you want to recruit.
Should You Play?
Unless you really want to see the girls and the images they made using the girls. It’s a hard NO from me. This game got so boring so fast. The combat is just so bland. City management is repetitive. It involves quests that repeat over and over again.
This game was design with one thing in mind really good-looking girls and some dudes you can “date”. That is the target audience for this game so hey if that you this game is for you.
