Let’s take a look at the game

In this game you are a duck that you get to customize. You will adventure out and gather materials and weapons and bring them back to the bunker. There are crates with free weapons one is a stick the other is a gun. There are also a bunch of other crates to loot such as food, medical, tool, ammo and more.

There are also blueprints you can find. These never change spots. They allow you to research the blueprint at the appropriate workbench to be able to craft it.

Out in the wild, you will also find enemies. These range from easy melee enemies to rare, giant, tough enemies with a giant axe. You will also find enemy bases with difficult enemies to go up against. Besides enemies, you can also find NPCs that give you quests. For example, there is a gym duck. If you finish his quest line, you unlock the gym you can build in the bunker.

There are also many other places to discover outside the bunker. Some require you to blow up a cracked wall. For others, you will need a key. You will even find spots to dig up with a shovel. There is plenty to keep you busy. Especially since all the loot is randomized, you never know what you will find.

You will need to repair some structures like bridges to access parts of the map. You will need the materials on you to repair them.

You can also find these bubbles that teleport you to a location. They are not random and will always teleport you to the same place. These allow you to fast travel to different parts of the map faster.

If you die outside the bunker, you drop all your gear except for totems. You can make your way back to your stuff and get it back. Be warned though if you die before you get your stuff back you will lose it all for good.

In the bunker is where you can build workbenches to craft and research the blueprints you find. there are a few workbenches to build from basic to advanced. You can also build a medical station. You can also build a weapon shop. I recommend this one. You get access to some great weapons in this shop. The weapon shopkeeper also has quest for you to do.

In the shops you buy using money you can also sell to the shops as a way to get money.

Speaking of quest there is a quest giver near your storage. The quests you get from him serve as a guide on how to start. They show how to do certain things. You also get quest from him that will unlock new features. The quest also have great rewards for completing them.

In the bunker you can also get permanent stat increases they call skills through a machine next to the storage. You will need money and materials the upgrade will also need real time to finish. You can also do some training through the gym once you build it.

There is a sewer you can go to from the bunker. There is also an excess point you can clear from the outside. You can use that to travel to that part of the map faster. You can also return to the bunker more quickly from that location. Inside the sewer, you will find a circle that resembles a ritual on the ground. There, you can sacrifice feathers you find to obtain a random totem.

There are a good number of weapons in the game from melee, ranged and explosive. The guns you can add attachments to make them better. Attachments only fit certain weapons. You might get a good attachment for a gun you don’t have yet.

Weapons and armor have durability. Some gear you find can only be repaired so much. The gear you craft can be fully repaired. Repairing cost money.

There are 2 slots for armor body and head. You will get different levels of armor with the higher level offering more protection. As well as 2 slots for totems. You can also equip a backpack to give you more inventory slots. Keep in mind you still only can carry so much weight before you get slowed.

Should You Play?

YES this is a really fun single player game. You can easily lose track of time as you go on multiple runs to get resources to get more skills. With the loot being randomized as well adds to the fun of looting.

Customizing your duck is great. With the freedom they give you, players will be able to make some funny looking ducks.

Being able to access the storage anywhere in the bunker just by opening your inventory is a great feature.

Trying to find higher level gear by taking on harder enemies all while not dying is a good time. Losing all your stuff can be annoying. You then have to use your backup gear. Although that is the point, it adds to the playtime. You need to get better gear again.

I can’t wait to see what the full game brings. I’m looking forward to seeing how big the map gets as well as all the different weapons there will be.

The demo is free I recommend you give it a try. Don’t forget to wishlist the full game on steam to show the dev’s that people are excited to the game.
