In Idle Thief Village, you play as a thief. who must steal to help the village. Let’s find out if this resource management game is worth playing.

In this free game in mobile, you must steal from the king and his aristocrats. Then use the gold you get to upgrade the village to get more materials like food and wood. That is the gameplay loop for this game.
The stealing is the best part they call it Prowl. In prowl you sneak around a map avoiding guards and looting a set number of containers. Moving fast makes noise. If you do get caught you can run and hide, they will eventually forget about you. Or you fight them if you beat them, you can loot them for gold. You will also get equipment. Prowl cost energy you can buy infinite energy for real money.
You will have to pick the locks of locked containers during prowl. You do this by matching the top and bottom. Each move cost a lock pick, and you get more buy watching an ad.
There are three resources you will be gathering they are.
Gold used to buy perks and upgrade your buildings.
Wood used to upgrade your buildings.
Food used to upgrade the house.
This is an idle game so you will be getting these resources even when not playing.
The buildings you get and will be upgrading are.
House – Provides workers.
Lumber – Produces wood.
Farm – Produces food.
Blacksmith – Produces gold and enables skills.
Cityhall – Produces gold and unlocks ranks.
You will need both gold and resources to level up the building. When the building gets high enough in level you can rank up the building. To rank up you must steal an item by doing a prowl.
Equipment you get are weapon, armor, charm and in the future bow. Each equipment has its base stat and might have a buff on it as well like silent move. You can sell old equipment for gold.
There is a wheel you can spin once for free than you watch ads to spin more. You get gold or materials and even gems.
Perks are upgrades to the village, for example more workers or faster production for materials. These cost gold. I highly recommend anything that helps you get gold. It’s the resource you need the most and is slow to acquire.
When you level up your thief you get a skill point. You use your point to get a skill. You must rank up each tier of skills a number of times before you get the next tier of skills.
Should You Play?
For me this game is a NO for now the pace is slow for me. You need a lot of gold. You earn gold slowly each day playing this game. I upgrade a building a few times, and I’m out of gold. Then, I have to wait. There doesn’t seem to be enough to do. However, this is an Idle game, so you know you’re not meant to spend a long time each day playing.
You can unlock a second city. However, after playing the game for about a week, I don’t feel close to the new city. The game might open up after you get past the first village. There could be a lot more to do. But the pace is just too slow for me to find out.
The prowl is a really fun mode. I would say download this game just to try it out. Im hoping in the late game or in the future they make the prowl longer with more floors.
The old school graphics are cool at first. I really don’t mind them. However, the green coloring, while appropriate for this game, does get hard on the eyes after a while.
I will be playing this for a little bit longer to see if it gets better later on.
